Joe Higgins
60's, 70's and more...

Joe Higgins has been involved with music since childhood, beginning with piano lessons at an early age and picking up the guitar as a teenager.
His musical influences include the Beatles; Paul Simon; James Taylor; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; Bob Dylan and other greats from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s but his repertoire includes many other artists including a selection of “American Standards”.

Joe volunteers on a regular basis with Musicians On Call, singing and playing his guitar for hospital patients in New York City, and is currently completing training in the Music for Healing and Transition Program  for certification as a Music Practitioner. He has been a member of his church choir for 20 years, serves as youth music director and has also filled in directing the adult choir on occasion.

Joe is one of the hosts for a weekly workshop where he helps fellow musicians develop their instrumental and vocal skills as well as work on their stage presence.

In addition to the guitar and keyboards, Joe plays the electric bass, and has taught students on all three of these instruments.

Ulladulla Music is Joe’s vehicle for sharing the joy of music with others.  Joe is available to perform for parties, wedding and other events, singing a variety of songs by artists across several decades of popular music.  He will also work with people of all ages to develop their own musical talents, whether performing as an individual or with a group, participating in a talent show or just learning to play a simple tune for their own enjoyment.
